Rules

Simple. Upload and activate your picture by 1st December 2009 midnight (GMT) and the e-mail address you provide is automatically included in the prize draw.

So for now it means two happy bunnies will be announced at the Applied Imagination Degree Show 2009 in Truman Brewery, room T2, Brick Lane, London on Sunday 6th December and on this blog.

I’ll send e-mails to the winners later that day.

You would like to just say ‘Hey! Just play nice!’

But to make things more clear, let’s try to explain what the perfect Culture Picture should be like:

1. Personal. Culture Picture is for personal use only. No images of commercial nature will be accepted in the Service.
2. Original. The image you upload should be created by you — drawn, photographed, painted or done with any other technique available.
3. Respect. We live in a global village. It means peoples of different cultures, race, beliefs, gender, age etc. are your neighbours. You really want to live in peace with you neighbours, don’t you?
4. Quality. The better the quality of the content, the better the whole system will work. Take care to tag and describe your pictures properly.

Mind you, I’m not a lawyer, so for the time being I tried to use common sense. If the site grows, the rules will most probably change as it is impossible to predict everything at the beginning. Thanks for uderstanding. If you are willing to help or give some constructive criticism, please do so below.

Some good news for all of you culture freaks! The culturepicture.com site is few days away from the big launch. There will be lots of cultures to dig and also a small surprise.

I just found the perfect domain to host my project! I was looking for better name for quite bit of time now, based on a survey which shown that a certain percentage of people found ‘treashare’ confusing.
So, soon you should be automagically transferred to… culturepicture.com!
Mind you, finding free domain name these days that doesn’t sound like Klingonian is almost impossible. But as we say in Poland ‘the darkest spot is just under a lamp post’.
