Culture Picture

Help creating a picture
of your culture!

Submit an image representing an aspect of your culture that you'd like to share with others.

OK! But what should it be?
The image can be anything about your culture — an interesting fact about your country, a custom or behaviour, a person or a particular object. If you think about it, there are plenty of distinct characteristics that form a specific culture.

Sure, but why all this?
There are many reasons:
—Awareness. In this fast-forward globalising world there's still a lot to improve in our human relations. One step towards understanding others is basic knowledge about them. Images are powerful and universal means of conveying information and are easily memorable.
—Inspiration. Culture is all about human creativity and people in different parts of the world developed their own unique ways of living that have been inspiring others for centuries. So inspire others today with your own perspective.
—Communication. The act of sharing is not only an enriching experience but also an opportunity for dialogue. And 'Culture Pictures' can be a great topic!

I wish I could upload but I'm not very technically savvy...
Well, we actually thought about that! Just download and print our sharing card and use all the traditional methods of creating an image.

Click Browse... to select a picture. It should represent your culture — a simple sketch, detailed illustration or a photograph — whatever best pictures the idea.
Avoid stereotypes! It is important what you know, not what they say.

Be creative but remember that your picture will be viewed by people from various parts of the world and of different races, beliefs, languages and age. Also, it is better if the picture is about only one specific aspect of your culture. You can upload more images later!
